Ready to make changes in your life and start actually living?

What is it like to work with me?

Opening up to someone is difficult and especially finding a therapist that you click with. The therapeutic relationship is shown to be the biggest change factor in therapy. Finding someone who you trust and is easy to talk to is the most important factor to consider.

If you are struggling with making changes in your life I can help you get motivated and get back on track. I like to help my clients in a manner that is as hands on as I can be in the virtual world. This means I may ask you to participate in an activity that you have struggled with right in the middle of our session so that we can identify barriers, work through them, and build on the accomplishment. I may ask you to role-play and practice communication skills. I may ask you to send me updates on your goals throughout the week.

My approach entails a combination between a direct approach and client driven meaning that you will decide the location and drive the car and I will be your passenger guiding you along the way. There is no exact approach for every client and will be tailored to your needs.

Am I the right therapist for you?

You have tried different therapists and you feel you need more than just venting. Walk away from our sessions feeling confident that you have the tools to handle your emotions and take control of your life.

I have a wide range of experience with clients from inpatient to outpatient, anxiety and depression to personality disorders, sexual issues, and relationship problems. I am also a survivor of domestic violence so I understand how difficult these situations can be.

Clients describe me as understanding and very easy to talk to. There is NO judgment on my end on the things you have experienced in your life and the decisions you make. I am here to support you through your struggles and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Compassion.

I have worked with many different types of clients. Although I do not have to agree with their behaviors, I can have compassion for why they are the way they are. The question is not “What’s wrong with you?” but becomes, “What happened to you?”

Safety.

My training in Trauma Informed Care has assisted me with ensuring my clients feel safe in their most vulnerable moments.

Privacy.

All therapy sessions are provided as telehealth through a HIPAA secure platform using Google Meet. Your personal information, insurance and credit card information will be securely entered and stored via Square Up.

Nonjudgemental.

I am sadly not surprised when I hear new clients reporting judgements they received from previous health care providers. My goal is to provide you space where you can reflect on your thoughts and actions without blame or shame but warmth and understanding.
